When one plans to assassinate someone on the street in a busy town, one usually does not leave their get-away car three blocks away and down in a gulch as described in the 'Virgil account.' Better planning might be advisable.
Can we not try to reason things out a little better and recognize, at least the POSSIBILITY, that it was not ranchers or cowboys who attempted to kill Virgil?
