Jones; Frank turned...

....It was not in the testimony as you say, but how else did Frank's body end up on the other side of Fremont street, in the general area of her home which was almost across from Fry's? He was witnessed trying to head out toward the center of the street.

At the very beginning is exactly what 'at the outset' meant. Frank was clearly the first one shot as Tom was still holding his vest open. Frank's reaction caused Tom to turn away with his right arm raised slightly as though to protect his eyes and the shotgun blast hit him along the right side of his chest and rib-cage. He turned toward the walkway leading up toward second street. Some feel he actually staggered around the small house and made it back to the street side but it is not real clear.

Examination of Addie's testimony suggests she was at the window a little longer than she wanted the court to believe, but she slipped up.

She was asked if ALL were exchanging shots. She said yes in so many words. ALL exchanging shots means Billy Clanton is the lone shooter left on the ranchers' side. Frank was half-way across the street, Tom was down toward second, Ike was gone and that left only Billy to exchange shots with the posse and he didn't do that until he had been hit several times.!!! Yet she could testify that ALL were shooting. She was still there after Billy had been riddled by Virgil and Morgan, according to Virgil's own testimony. Wyatt said he shot at Billy but didn't think he hit him.

We have a problem with Mrs. Borland.

Interesting take on it. I like Addie. Took some guts for a single gal to live where she did. Best wishes, Jones

Joyce, sorry to jump in here, but there are certain things you never forget. About 12 or 14 years ago, there was a mention of William Bourland being a member of the coroner's jury for the murder of Morgan... more

Joyce, this kind of reminds me of the confusion between Billy Allens. For years we read that Doc Holliday encountered the Billy Allen that witnessed the shootout when he ended up in Leadville, Colorado.... more
