Hi Sharon, Butterfield Overland Mail had a stage station at Pope’s Camp in what is now Loving County. Today, this is the least populated County in Texas, and from what I understand, the least populated County in the lower 48. They have no school, church or grocery store.

That means 4% of the total population was involved in one cattle rustling gang. Larger than the Cowboy gang of Cochise County.
