I looked through the newspapers and found similar queries made to the same postmaster, A.W. Street. These seem to be queries made by family trying to locate other family members.....perhaps the query you found was from Virgil’s family trying to locate him to coordinate the upcoming move to Lamar, Missouri.

Other than their names grouped together in the query, have you found any other connection with the other men listed with Virgil?

            Roy, did you know Virgil Earp was, or had been, staying in SLC, Utah in 1867 or 1868? I have never read of that before. Cheers PB
