From what I remember years ago reading Lakes's (huntington library) notes, and his assessment of Wyatt Earp vagueness and silence used the word: "exasperating so" (or words to that effect)

One frustrated journalist referred to Earp as "the Great Sphynx"


From what I remember in one of Bob Boze Bell's you tube videos, he mentioned that Earp mostly responds with "yep" or "nope"

I find it interesting how some history buffs try to redefine Wyatt Earp's noncommunicative personality as opposite of his true personality.

    True. Earp was not known to overly talk. Wasn't this a frustrating point with Lake?
