BJ/ Ike's what?...

...I think loud, aggressive behaviour is a slight exaggeration, don't you?

Ike was in a couple of Saloons, but so was every other man in town who was awake. There was no other place to go. Ike spoke to several men and complained about the Earps' treatment, but no one described him as aggressive or loud. Even when he went to Hafford's and said he had been told to meet those men there, Hafford did not describe him by any of those manners of conduct, so let's not make stuff up. Ranchers were not of a kind that needed to make their presence known, as a rule. Ike was agitated and rightly so, but not publicly loud or aggressive; at least not that anyone described him that way.

As for Virgil, can you blame him for not wanting to get up after an all night session? He had a few drinks in him too. But he did a good policeman's job in cleaning up Tombstone's dirty streets with a city ordinance that limited the time you could leave horses or delivery wagons in one place on the street because of the droppings and the happy flies.

He might have made some real accomplishments if he had minded his own business!

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Virgil had to be awakened multiple times that morning, including by one of his Deputy’s about Ike’s loud, public, heeled and aggressive behavior. Also remember... more

From what you are assessing, Deputy Bronk (sp?) exaggerated Ike’s behavior and he should not have tried to elicit action from Virgil Earp? 🤔

Well, I don't know if officer Bronk exaggerated Ike's behaviour or not, but according to Virgil, Bronk seemed a little pre-occupied before he informed Virgil that he was at death's door. This while Bronk... more

Well, BJ, as you may have noticed by now, I not only have a suspicious nature but am inclined to read every few lines with an "...wait a minute. something doesn't sound right here!..." attitude. It slows... more

Joyce, I’m trying to understand your train of thought so I appreciate your patience per my limited education level and cognitive deficits. I also remember reading that other citizens were very concerned... more
