came into town for a night of drinking and gambling. OK, this couldn't be more wrong, especially for historians such as Metz and Marks.
Somebody needs to get a handle on what went on the night before. As I recall it was only Ike who went into town the night of Oct. 25. Billy and Tom McLaury did not come into town until sometime in the morning of Oct. 26. I cannot remember exactly when Frank Mclaury came into town, but he certainly wasn't at the Alhambra lunch counter with Ike at the time Ike had words with the Earp faction. Nor was he (Frank) with Tom on Oct. 26 when he was "buffaloed" by Wyatt Earp.
Bias or carelessness - I don't know of which they (Metz and Marks) they are guilty.

I was simply pointing out how there are aspects of this era in Cochise County that have not yet (to my knowledge) been fully explored. I hope someone takes up the task. Butch
