Look at the long list of consequences to satisfy Virgils impatience or eagerness to fight.


the Earps had the authority to go down there, disrupt Behans effort and :enforce the law but Virgil lacked the intelligence and judgment to let Behan fail or succeed before he acted.

The costs of his bungling were tremendous to his family before the Earps were driven out of Arizona.
