can I recommend AMERICAN MYTH MAKER by the late great Mark Dworkin? The focus is Walter Noble Burns, but obviously there is much Earp material included. (Disclosure: I was Mark's first reader and editor of his rough draft manuscript, as I was of the late great Paul Cool's manuscript that ultimately became his book, THE GIRL IN THE IRON BOX about the FBI and that AZ criminal case.)

        I was thinking that Mark's book came out before 2014, but I'm glad you corrected me, Bruce. It is definitely a "must have". There is another one I forgot to add and that is Peer Brand's JOHNNY TYLER.... more
