BJ, it seems that you were pretty much in agreement with much of what Mike was saying early on. Even after his post Missed My Meaning in which he said "It's not over the top because it's not true...a credential, a certification or a title is not a guarantee for being right" you responded "Actually Mike, you might be right.LOL". Mike's claim that a statement of fact should be examined on it's merits without the maker of the claim having influence on it's acceptance because of the title or position he holds seems perfectly logical to me. However, that statement seems to have become unforgivable. Suddenly Mike has done nothing but hurl personal insults and deserves long distance examination of his assumed personality defects. Worst of all, his statement is somehow considered a direct personal attack on your phd professor(who nobody knows), which then becomes a direct personal attack on you. That's what your response to Pam's post about Mike seems to indicate. Doesn't that seem a bit excessive?
